A custom logo is a pictorial icon that generally symbolizes a company, and on occasion, a person. It is a carefully designed visual representation of what a business (or person) does, or what they furnish the customer. A logo is device used in the marketing, and brand recognition, of a company.

A logo is a memory tool for customers that are generally used in a branding strategy. Humans generally recall visual symbols better than writing by itself, so a properly designed logo gives customers something to think of and instantly remember while associating the image with your business.

A company needs to work to gain a foothold in the eyes of consumers, and they can do that by having a unique logo designed just for them. Therefore, a custom logo design services is a large act for a business to take to market their brand.

A uniquely created logo is a very important marketing tool for any company getting into an fresh market, or when they introduce an uncommon product or service. They also help new businesses communicate what they are all about, and it also allows front running organizations to show that they should be taken seriously.

Paying to have someone create a logo for your company is a step that should not be taken lightly. The logo is going to represent the company, and if it turns out that it is not portray the right message, you are going to have a hard time rebuilding your brand that was built around a bad custom logo.

Hence, the logo design firm you choose for your business needs to be extremely illustrative of your company and what you sell. It must be a design that will be relevant for a long time and clearly and quickly get across what your business is about to the target market.

A logo does not always just contain an illustrated image. It may also have some sort of wording or show the name of your company or product. If designed, a logo lets your customers know that your business is highly credible and should be trusted.

A logo designer that understands their job can pass on the character and personality of your company, making customers want to spend money on your product. With the best logo design possibly, you have a better opportunity of you getting new customers and having a successful business.

If you have published at least one article, then you followed a process of publication. But did you maximize the process so that you leverage your article into the most traffic possible, both now and in the future.

Here are a bakers’ dozen tips for creating and using an Article Publication Cycle.

1. Write the article. Generally you want it to be 300 to 700 words. You’ll see some of the implications of article length as you read the rest of this list.

2. Post the article on your blog. When you posit it to your site first, you are generally indexed as the first author of the article, giving maximum traffic directly to your blog.

Now it’s time to tell everyone you’ve published the article.

3. Tweet about the article at least once or twice the day you publish it, then again once the next day.

4. Set up a twitter plugin so that your blog also sends out a notification that you’ve published a new article.

5. Send it to your ezine subscribers. You can send them the full article – or just an excerpt and send them to your blog.

6. Wait a day or two, then publish the article on EzineArticles.com This is “the” article directory, with the most traffic, many pages indexed in the search engines, and a large number of publishers watching to see what new articles they can republish on their sites.

EzineArticles.com has a minimum of 250 words for their articles so if you’ve written a longer article, you may be able to split it into two articles for submission there.

7, Be sure you set up the Twitter option in your EzineArticles account so that they automatically send a tweet when your article is published there.

8. Wait another day or two, then put your article into your article distribution service. Some distribution services require a minimum of 400 or 500 words for the articles they distribute. This is where your article length has an impact.

In some cases you will need to combine two shorter articles to make one long enough for distribution.

9. In between print publications, you can repurpose your article into multiple formats. For example, read and record your article into an audio. This gives you an audio to add to your blog, a product, or a podcast.

10. Take the same article and convert it to a video article, complete with the text and audio. You can add this video to your blog, a product or a video podcast.

11. Rinse and repeat! The secret to steady traffic is steady writing. Keep writing articles.

12. Document the processes you use in your publication cycle. You can do this with a written checklist and screen capture videos. Not only will it ensure you complete all of the steps, but you’ll be prepared for the next step.

13. Outsource the publication process! If you like to write articles, that’s great. Keep writing. But there is no reason to keep doing the distribution yourself. And if you prefer not to write at all, hire a writer as well.

The key to consistent traffic with articles is having a standard publication process in place. Without it, you miss some steps. With it, you can move forward faster and more efficiently – which leads to more time and profits for you.

If you’re considering setting up your own member site, here are five easy steps to follow.

1. Choose a member model. There are at least four different models you can follow for your member site. From free to unlimited monthly recurring, there is a variety that will fit your market and your message. The key is knowing what your target market wants and expects – then giving it to them.

One thing you can do to start the process is to find other member sites in your niche and watch what they do. See how they market their site. Check their fees and member levels. Even join their site to see what type of content they offer and how often. Take notes as you go so that you can refer back to them.

2. Choose your delivery method. While most people think about the traditional “fat content” member site with lots of articles and other resources, there are actually several different delivery methods you can use. From delivering your content without a website to offering multiple types of specialized content, you can follow successful models being used by other member site owners.

And while you do need a way to protect the member resources you deliver, there are numerous choices for delivery websites and the member sofware to use. But those choices are easier when you have all of the other planning decisions outlined.

3. Create content. One of the biggest fears people share when it comes to setting up a member site, is not having enough content. But when you leverage what you already have and find creative ways of adding more, you’ll be amazed how easy it is. In fact, you may find yourself creating multiple member sites with all of the content you create!

4. Make the money decisions. If content is the big fear, the decisions on fees, pricing strategies, free or paid trials and retention calculations seem to be the big hangups. But rest assured – there are guidelines for all of these decisions, once you have the other items in place.

5. Sell memberships. It always comes down to the sales and marketing. And while you market your member site just as you do any other service or information product, there are some specialized tactics you can use only with member sites. It’s just a matter of working them into your existing marketing tactics.

These five steps will start you on your way to creating your first member site. And I predict just the first of a string of sites, once you see how much you enjoy the member site model of business.

So are YOU ready to create a member site? Do you have questions about the details on each of these five steps?

If so, I invite you to join me as I offer a 90-minute webinar on Member Site Basics 101. On the call we’ll discuss

- why you’re going to love recurring revenue!

- 4 models of member sites you can use – and how to start one in less than 24 hours

- the 2 fastest delivery methods and the specific recommendations for the software you’ll need for each

- 5 types of content every member site needs – and how you can mix and match for your best delivery

- more than a dozen ways to find or create content you can use immediately – and how to keep that content flowing

- how to determine your pricing structure based on your content mix

- the breakeven analysis – and how quickly you can get there

- top 5 marketing tactics for member sites and how to work them into your existing marketing plan

Yes, you can start a member site without this webinar – but that decision will come back to bite you later. So save yourself time, money and profits by working your way through these decisions BEFORE you start your first member site.

This is a members-only webinar for members of the Online Success Incubator. Not a member? Then join today and join us on the live call tonight – or watch the replay in the member area.

P.S. Yes, this webinar will be released to the public next month – at twice the price of a month of the Incubator. So if a member site is in your future, join us NOW!

A membership site is a great way to make money online. While you can make a lot of money from the actual sale of memberships, you can also make a lot of money by marketing other products and services to your members. Plus, depending on the type of membership site you have, you may not have to put in a lot of work. But what type of member site should you have?

There are three major types of membership sites: traditional, fixed term, and newsletter.

A traditional membership site is probably exactly what you envision it is. It is the most popular type of site. A person becomes a member by paying a recurring fee and they remain a member for as long as they want. The site give them new content every month. Being a member continues to cost them money every month but it also continues to give them value in exchange for their membership fee.

These types of sites are excellent for member site owners because they continue to generate revenue every month for as long as you want to add content. However, they can be a lot of work because you have to continue to provide value. So while operating a traditional membership site can be the most profitable, it is also the most work to maintain.

The second type of membership sites is the fixed term site. Under this model a member joins a site for a specified amount of time. So they might join a site for a year (52 weeks) in order to receive a weekly lesson on how to lose 50 pounds in a year. They might pay once or they might pay every week, every other week, or maybe every month. Once the 52nd lesson gets delivered then they are no longer charged a membership fee and they stop getting the content.

Fixed term sites are often the least time-consuming to operate. This is because you just have to do the initial work of creating the site, getting it up and running, and creating the content. Once all that is done then you just have to worry about marketing your site. So you will continue to make money without doing a lot of ongoing work. However, every member you have will only pay a specified amount of money. You can’t count on one person being a member far into the future.

Another advantage to this model is that even though you only have to create the content once, you can continue to enroll members year-round. So it has the advantage of creating an information product for which you receive recurring revenue. Even though it’s for a limited time, this is still an attractie model – particularly for people who are afraid of committing to a long-term membership site.

The final type of membership site is a newsletter membership site (also known as an autoresponder membership site). A newsletter membership site can be either fixed or traditional. With this type of site you simply deliver all the content via email. So you would just send the content every week, month, or whenever you promised it would be. The members just open their emails and read the content or click on the link you provide for them to get their content.

Obviously the newsletter membership site is really fast and easy to set-up. You don’t need to worry about a site with specialized member’s software. All you have to do is set up the site with a sales page, a thank you page, and an autoreponder. Then load the content into the autoresponder and you’re done.

All three of these member site models have their pros and cons. Choose the one that fits you, your niche, and your topic best and then market your site.

Our topic for January is Member Sites 101. On the live webinar you will not only decide which model is most appropriate for you, but also get the full list of questions you need to answer for your member site planning. Without getting these answers, you can walk into a trap of recurring content and declining revenue. So join us to get this critical information.

Ever had that feeling that you just knew there had to be a plugin out there for Wordpress that would do the job for you – but didn’t know where to find it? Or worse yet, you’ve seen the plugin – but can’t remember where or the name of it. Now all of that is solved with the new 250 Wordpress Pluging report from Rob Richards.

You’ll find plugins in more than 10 categories – complete with description, name of the plugin and where to download it. It just doesn’t get any easier than this.

Members will find the full report as a new bonus under Step 10 on the Blog Resource Page. Non-members can get a copy of the plugin when they purchase First Blog Site or as a stand-alone report.
